Five models of ATOM traditional skiving machines, all CE marked to meet the complete range of needs by the shoe, allied, leather and also synthetic industries. Also available is an economy model but still maintaining CE standards, programmable automated machines and special requirement systems. All supplied, installed, commissioned and maintained by ATOM UK experienced service engineers.
Technical Features of ATOM Skiving Machines:
- Knife shaft mounted on bearings, featuring anti-dust protection guards
- Transport roller gears which run in an oil bath
- Optional: Gears can be supplied to allow different working speeds
- Optional: A special kit can be fitted to allow an easy 45° skive for the Moccasin industries
GL12 S
An electronic clutch allows the adjustment of the material feeding speed, whilst an exhauster solves the problems of removing scraps from the working area, preventing entanglement with the feeding roller.

GL12CTN
GL12 CTN uses a mechanical clutch to adjust the material feeding speed. Has the same exhaust system as the GLS S.

GL 12 M8 Programmable Flat Skiving Machine
This model is designed to fulfil the requirements of the advanced faster working skiving operations, whereby the machine will take as many increments in depth as you require to produce a perfect finish.
The machine features a graphic display to allow fast programming and setting, an automated knife sharpening system, diamond grinding wheels for enhanced life longevity and independent knife holder from the motor to allow higher strength and accuracy.
An optional extra will also keep the blade lubricated through a pneumatic refrigerated kit.
