The ATOM Flashcut range of dieless knife cutting systems is unrivalled in the heavy industries of gasket and leather manufacturing. Its build quality and software are all specifically engineered for these sectors, making it the ultimate tool in modern production techniques. All manufacturing is European based and designed, so you know you're getting quality, not simply being told you are.

In the seventies the ATOM G222 swing beam 'clicker' and the G888 travelling head presses were an industry standard in leather manufacturing, loved by the shoe industry and adored by many others.

Now thanks to decades of experience spanning almost 65years and selling more than 250,000 systems worldwide ATOM proudly present the FlashCut.

Using a range of tools, including oscillating knife, fixed 'drag' knife, electrical oscillating knife, punch's, pricker, creasing tool, rotary cutter and pen's the machine will within minutes of being presented a .dxf shape produce a finished cut piece.

Without the expense of tooling, this allows infinite shape ‘tweaking’ and alterations, short runs, trial runs or high quantity production resulting from accurate nesting.

Optional extra's including camera's for automatic hide/ material recognition, projectors allowing shape and layout projection back onto material, multiple vacum pumps increasing not only suction but allowing 'double' end working or increased 'daylight' to allow the cutting of 100mm foam the ATOM FlashCut is the correct dieless knife cutting solution.

FlashCut FC222 & FC888 Series

These two models of the FlashCut differ only in working area, and are modelled on the ATOM G222 'clicker' and G888 travelling head respectively, small cutting beds, but without sacrificing the strength of the FlashCut, these machines can cut full bend leather as well as their bigger brothers.

Perfect for prototyping rooms and small productions runs these machines can have all the features of a larger machine, but on a much small scale, allowing the machine to be put into small rooms.

FlashCut 222

The easiness to use, the limited dimensions and the chance to import models from whatever CAD software make this product fitted for all the sample rooms in footwear and leather goods. Excellent quality of cutting thanks to the mechanic accuracy of the machine axes and the powerful head which accepts all the tools of the ATOM range. Among them the pneumatic chuck for thick leather, shank board and multi-layer materials. Its electric consumption is very reduced and the projection on the working surface is particularly brilliant.

FlashCut 888

The total accessibility to the working surface, the chance to lay large hides thanks to its cantilever architecture, the special rear room and the double working station for high productivity are the key factors of this machine, ideal for small and medium productions of shoes and leather goods factories. FlashCut 888 M25

The Flashcut 888 M25, thanks to the wider working surface allowing to alternate the cutting with the nesting process, is the optimal solution for leather cutting in footwear. The operator can easily reach the full working surface thanks to its cantilever architecture, thus avoiding bothersome inconveniences due to the exceeding portion of the leather on the cutting surface. Its good price-performances ratio is a valid topic for the footwear industries interested in automating the cutting phase with a right investment. FlashCut 888 L30

The wide working plane, along with the undisputed cutting power of ATOM machines, make the FlashCut 888 L30 fitted to high production of whatever kind of material: from the softest leather or elastic textile to the tough leather for soles. Thanks to its new extremely compact design this machine can be placed in any factory, reducing to the minimum the overall dimensions and allowing a good productivity. The vacuum surface divided in multi-sectors guarantees a perfect locking of the material. Its electric consumption is very reduced due to the presence of the power vacuum potentiometer.

FlashCut Flex Series

FlashCut Flex S

FlexCut "S" range is equipped with a static working surface. It represents the right solution for gaskets, belts and shoe components markets. Robustness, reliability and accuracy are the main features of this line. In fact it is possible to cut hard materials up to 3 shifts a day. To increase the productivity it is available the second cutting gantry (FlashCut Flex 2H). The two cutting gantries are completely independent on the same working layout and operate in restricted areas allowing an almost doubled productivity.

FlashCut Flex B

This special range of FlashCut combines power and flexibility with the conveyorized working surface. In this way the automation of the loading and off-loading phases is achieved, in addition to the cutting phase. In fact it is possible to load materials both in rolls and in multi-layers. The off-loading operation can be done in a special area, the operator can easily reach from 3 sides (TOT – Take Off Table). The main accessories available on this line of tables are the automatic sheet feeder and the roll un-winder. They make this table range ideal for all the applications requiring an automatic material handling able thus the 3 typical working phases as loading, cutting and picking occurs in parallel.

FlashCut Flex HD

Particularly suitable for cutting soft and thick materials up to 130 mm. The FlashCut Flex HD systems are fitted to cut a wide range of materials such as : corrugated cardboard, open and closed cell foam, PVC, PU, various plastic materials also adhesive, rubbers, soft, semi-rigid and coupled multi-layered materials. Special tools are available in order to perform operations such as single or multiple creasing, marking, kiss cutting, 45° cutting, high speed drilling and incision. The vacuum working surface is divided in multi-sectors in order to achieve a perfect locking of the material during cutting. All the HD models are equipped with a working surface static or conveyorized depending on the materials, if sheets or rolls.

FlashCut Flex EMHD 2Z

Cutting and milling head based on independent vertical axes. The milling chuck, equipped with water cooling system, can achieve upto 50000 rpm. Also available is an automatic tool changer based on a pneumatic system and a blade lubrication system to not only cool the blade but ease the cut. A special vacuum chamber integrated in the main head collects the milling scraps of the material leaving the working area perfectly clean. This special range of machines allows the ability to cut foams and packaging materials using milling and cutting tools of material up to 130mm thick.

High Performance Series

FlashCut 2H 1660

The two multi-tool cutting heads completely independent, combined with a very high accuracy and the double clamp conveyorized transport system, make a perfect production machinery. Available accessories as the automatic sheet feeder and the 10-place roll holder. The fully automatic working cycle allows to cut up to 10 roll layers with an estimated productivity of 10.000 pieces/hour.

FlashCut 2H 2160

The two multi-tool cutting heads completely independent combined with a very high accuracy and the larger double clamp conveyorized transport system, 2.040 mm wide, are the main features of this machine. Large hides and multi-layer of synthetic materials are the main applications. The fully automatic working cycle allows to cut up to 10 roll layers with an estimated productivity of 10.000 pieces/hour.

Pneumatic Oscillating / Electrical Oscillating Chuck

The oscillating cutting tools, both have their own speciality, the pneumatic chucks have increased strength and are perfect for leather, gaskets and foam.

The electrical chuck can be controlled within regards to its oscillating speed, meaning materials that can melt such as some rubbers and silicone can be cut.

Fixed 'Drag' Chuck

This chuck although not oscillating, has many advantages, especially in the tine rigid synthetic industries such as shim gaskets and rubber.

Punch's

Allow very high quality holes from 8mm diameter and below to be produced.

Pen

Allowing cut parts and kits to be labelled during cut with whatever you desire a picture to a part number.
